Kilburn Oasis

We are closely working with Camden and Brent boroughs, and with the local resident association Brent Eleven Streets, on a project called Kilburn Oasis. Local residents are aware of the many safety issues with traffic on our road, and we have been working hard during the past year to tackle this problem. Read about our meeting with Brent councillors here.

Kilburn Oasis will take place on Friday 20 September 2024, 12:30-18:30, and will be a day-long celebration in Priory Park Road where everyone is welcome.

Our street will be transformed with the help of the artwork of our pupils, as well as plants and turf which will help the local residents to envisage how our street could become cleaner, safer and greener, and provide more liveable space to our school and the local residents.

On the day, attendees can expect free entertainment for all ages such as:

  • live music with Kilburn State of Mind, a local community based organisation
  • face painting
  • chalk art
  • juggling
  • table tennis
  • piñata
  • free blood pressure and diabetes health checks
  • electric cargo bike rides with Pedal Me
  • free cycle and scooter repair, and more!

There will also be information stalls such as Brent Health Matters, Mums for lungs, and Brent London Cycle Campaign, and we will run a consultation to gather public opinion in support of our ultimate aim: to close Priory Park Road to traffic permanently.

We are a green school and we are working hard to improve the local area for our pupils and local residents. You are all invited, come and join the fun on Friday 20th Sept 2024!
