Early Years Foundation Stage
The EYFS Curriculum at Kilburn Grange School enables our pupils to become confident and independent learners who develop a love for learning and a desire to succeed.
We foster an enriching educational experience for young learners, where they are empowered to explore and investigate within a thoughtfully designed, imaginative, and stimulating environment. We aim to provide carefully planned, inquisitive learning activities across the indoor and outdoor provision, which are based on the EYFS Framework and Development Matters.
Each half term’s learning is planned around an overarching topic, incorporating children’s interests and next steps. There are seven areas of learning (three prime areas and four specific areas), which are underpinned by the three characteristics of effective teaching and learning. We encourage children to learn, experiment, make progress and develop - emotionally, socially, academically and physically.
